What will this integration enable within Nourish?
The integration between Eclipse Nursecall Systems and Nourish Care bridges the gap between physical nurse call alerts and digital care management. By bringing nurse call activity directly into Nourish alongside daily care notes, this integration will enable:
Unified Care Timelines: Automatically surface live Eclipse nurse call activity and alerts onto the Nourish timeline, giving management a real-time, comprehensive view of care interactions.
Improved Visibility of Response Times: Provide clear, audit-ready data on call activity and staff response times directly within the Nourish ecosystem.
Trend Analysis & Proactive Care: Allow care teams to cross-reference call patterns with daily records to identify recurring needs, recognise emerging behavioural or health patterns, and make proactive updates to care plans.
What information will be available within the Interaction?
Call Type / Severity Level: The nature of the alert, distinguishing between a standard assistance call, an emergency alert, a dementia/sensor mat activation, or a staff-to-staff assistance request.
Detailed Timestamps:
Exact, audit-ready data tracking the full lifecycle of the event:
The exact time the call bell was pressed.
The response time (the duration between the alarm sounding and a staff member arriving/accepting the call).
The total duration of the care interaction before the call was reset/cleared.
How do I get started?
Generate an integration token on ENS system via Web Dash – see training materials for more details (or ask ENS Support team for assistance at [email protected]).
In Better Care, head over to Extensions, located under Administration in the menu and locate Eclipse Nursecall Systems in the list. Select the warning icon to see a list of all resident details for quick checking.
2. Once you are confident that the details in both Better Care and ENS match head back over to Extensions and locate ENS in the list, and toggle the integration on for your service(s) using the token(s) provided by ENS. If you are a group with several services, you can choose which units use this integration and you will need to request 1 token for each service.
3. Next read and accept T&Cs.
4. Enter the token(s) provided by ENS and confirm.
FAQs
Q: How often does the Eclipse and Nourish integration sync?
Q: How often does the Eclipse and Nourish integration sync?
The integration operates in near real-time. When an alert is triggered or cleared on the Eclipse Nursecall System, the data is pushed instantly to the Nourish platform. You should see the corresponding Interaction appear on the resident's daily timeline within seconds.
Why is a call bell interaction not showing up on a resident’s Nourish timeline?
Why is a call bell interaction not showing up on a resident’s Nourish timeline?
This is usually caused by a room mapping or pairing mismatch. For the integration to work, the unique device or room ID in the Eclipse system must perfectly match the resident's room profile in Nourish. If a resident has recently moved rooms, or if the hardware was replaced, the room name field will need to be updated in the Nourish system, then Eclipse system should sync the details in real-time. If the timeline is still having issues displaying correct details, please contact [email protected]
Will an interaction still be logged if a carer forgets to clear the call bell?
Will an interaction still be logged if a carer forgets to clear the call bell?
Yes, the call will be logged, but the timeline will show an unusually long "response or duration time" because the event remains open until the physical button or panel is reset. Staff should be trained to clear the Eclipse call bell at the point of care to ensure audit data remains accurate.
If a resident presses the call bell by mistake, can we delete the interaction from Nourish?
If a resident presses the call bell by mistake, can we delete the interaction from Nourish?
To maintain a robust and compliant audit trail, automated interactions cannot be deleted. However, staff can click into the interaction on Nourish and add a note specifying "Accidental press" or "False alarm" so the record is accurately contextualised for management.
